In the car after school....
Seth: Winston had a hard time at school this morning. He was crying.
Riley: Why was he crying?
Seth: He always cries because he misses his mommy.
Riley: Oh.
....a long reflective pause.
Seth: I don't miss my mommy.
Riley: Me neither.

ouch! I guess it's what we wish for and don't wish for at the same time! Poor Mommy...
ROFL! They don't miss their mommy because she is fully present when they are at home :o)
classic
They don't miss you because they have internalized you so completely you are always with them.
It's a good thing.
I miss Riley and Seth's mommy! And my own, too, come to think of it.
Believe it or not, this is a REALLY GOOD THING! Now, pull the twin-blade daggers out of your heart and staunch the bleeding with the knowledge that you are raising brave, healthy, secure kiddos. And go have a piece of chocolate while you're at it . . . (*smile*)
I say it's a sign of a job well done. Consider it a HUGE compliment, and savor every f'ing moment away from them, 'cause they ain't thinking about you!
they're right, you know (the previous commenters, that is)
LOVE that your children love you so completely and LOVE that you got the chance to hear it!
Trade ya!
Trade ya!
Laugh, these kids have CONFIDENCE!!!!
