Cosmic Call To Prayer

I got a very “out there” e-mail yesterday.

It was sort of a cosmic call to prayer.

Something about the Universe shifting, lining up just so, making October 17th, 2006, a powerful day for manifesting, according to the ancient Mayan calendar.

Today, between the hours of 10:17AM and 1:17AM tomorrow, it is suggested we be very conscious of our thoughts. To think love, prosperity, healing, wealth, kindness, and gratitude.

At 5:10PM it is suggested we find a place in nature and sit there envisioning what we want in our lives and for our planet. Imagine it as if it's already occurred.

The e-mail said to dismiss negative thoughts because they’ll manifest quickly too.

Hmm? ……I was totally planning on doing all that today anyway.

Care to join me?

Is that E.S.T. or C.S.T.?lol ...either way, I'm in. I think I'll just think good thoughts all day.

When I first read this post, I thought it was until 1:17pm, which would have meant I missed it by three minutes. I'm glad I didn't, though at 5:10 I'll be driving home from my daughter's play practice in rain and traffic. All the more incentive to think positively!

Imagine what we want for the planet . . . I love that part. How cool!

Very weird. I'm not prone to positive thoughts but started the day capturing the amazing sunrise on film, and stopped along the day during my travels to marvel at foliage in the rain and feel at peace. Didn't read your wisdom until late evening but must have felt your message all day long. thanks!

I got the same email and was trying to create postive thoughts & vibes at 5:10, when my dog projectile vomited on me in the car while I was driving on a curvy country road . I started to say a mantra so that I wouldn't have any negative thoughts - I hope it worked. Blessed all the little creatures...

Reminds me of one of the readings at Gramma Wilsons funeral. Phillipians 4:6 "In conclusion, fill your minds with things that are good and deserve praise, things that are true and noble, right, pure. lovely, and honorable. Put into practice what you have learned and the God who gives us peace will be with you.

Gee, I've got to say, while "prayer" and "positive visualization" are good, that's not how President Bush managed to achieve HIS vision yesterday, in which an "enemy combatant" is DEFINED as anyone HE considers and enemy combatant. EVEN AMERICAN CITIZENS can now be "dissappeared" in the middle of the night and whisked off to detention camps without a trial. History will look back on this time and ask "what did YOU do about it?" I think it is our responsibility as mindful women, mothers, and writers to do more than "think good thoughts" In the long range spiritual sense this is good practise, but in the here and now, where our rights are being written out by law, silence...even meditative silence... is consent.

Totally with you all day, and at 5:10 was in a powerful meditation with our friend, J.L. Yesterday the energy was weird all day, I felt like my head was going to explode. How'd you do?

Never anti-Bush. Always pro-his opponent. Visualizing what we do want is a powerful tool.

Not ignoring “what is,” but rather putting the focus on what you do want rather than battling what you don’t want. And, as you rightly point out -e-, putting feet on those prayers. Getting out there, supporting the candidates, making our voices heard.

Pro-peace.
Pro-liberty.
Pro-freedom.

Never anti.

Think Ghandi. Think Martin Luther King Jr. Think Mother Theresa.

I wasn't suggesting passivity at all.

I've got an hour and 17 minutes left, but I'll admit - this chick's going to meditate with her head on the pillow in a few minutes. :) zZZZZ
