Jerry

From World Net Daily.com:

"......there's no need for the church of Jesus Christ to be wasting its time gullibly falling for all of this global warming hocus-pocus."

-Rev. Jerry Falwell, Lynchburg VA.

Might I just say that I have met many LOVELY people so far during my two years here in Lynchburg? Most of them don't even have their heads up their butts. Or the Bush administration's either, for that matter.

Jerry and his crowd were such a loud minority of the folks I met during the years I lived in Lynchburg.

It's too bad they are the ones with the world's ear.

Check out Jesus Camp, if you haven't seen it yet.

I have now heard evangelicals say, in all seriousness, that they ultimately welcome the destruction of the global environment, because they feel that it will mark the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

This pretty much makes this group as dangerous as any islamic fundamentalists.

I am enormously relieved, though, to hear a number of mainstream Christian leaders now beginning to expose the folly of the evangelical groups. I really do think we're now seeing the pendulum begin to swing back toward rationality.

There's no reason for the rational world to waste it's time listening or giving any credence to this Jerry Falwell B.S.

Quote that, Jer!
