My Dream of Becoming a Plus Size Model

What's your professional fantasy? Mine is to become a plus sized model. Have you ever seen a bigger woman, who is beautiful, fashionable and exuding confidence? I love this! I've known women like this. They seem to have told the skinny mags to go straight to hell. They own their bodies and work it. Plus size models have it made. They have great clothes, a make-up team, and they can eat anything they want. These women are laughing all the way to the bank. It's brilliant!

Hot Toddy doesn't think I stand much of a chance. I'm 5'2" and hover on or near 120 lbs.

Paying no heed to the naysayers I pop another handful of chocolate covered peanuts into my mouth(the children know nothing of my stash). Gotta keep my eyes on the prize.

Women who are confident and comfortable in their bodies, whatever the size.

I wanna be like them.

Love it, Michelle! I, too, have a stash of goodies my kids don't know about. Unfortunately, my husband has located it, so I have to keep moving it.

I love these women, too! God bless the people in their lives that enabled them to feel this way about themselves.

Michelle :) ~*~ here here, my love

I'll join you...at 5'1 (and I'll keep the poundage to myself ;-) I don't have much of a chance either.

Thanks about the Mercury info. I have a dentist appointment coming up and I'll inquire about it.

You are my hero, Michelle. A hidden stash of choco-peanuts AND an understanding of the brilliance of plus size models.

Does HT know what a treasure he has on his hands?

Yeah, me too.

After I gained weight after kids, I thought I might do this. So I went to my old agency and asked about it.

They told me at 28, I was too old.
Pft! (What about Carey? What about Emmy??)

If it is not one thing making a woman feel like crap, it is another. Assheads.

I would join you too(I've got the height) but, baby I don't put on weight in equal distribution over my body. If my boobs got big in proportion with my ass, I'd be THERE. Unfortunately ... when only my ass gets bigger, I don't feel sexy.

Hence the drive to make my ass match my boobs.

(and that's officially too much information. thank you.)

Nachos, Corona and Ben & Jerry's are quite helpful!

Now THIS is a goal I can really get behind! (no pun intended)

I say your big heart and chutzpa make up for your small size, although if you need some pounds, I have some to spare.

hey michelle, happy easter. I just wanted you to know the day you posted this, which was really funny BTW, I was not in the mood to play as my friend Jennifer had just come to visit me. I had not seen her in 3 years. She has lost 180 pounds. We were just talking about how people treat fat people so cruelly. It makes me very sad, I remember people treating me very badly when I was overweight and thinking that as a thin person, I am still the same person. Caught me in a mood unable to play that day. Not a victim thing completely, kario says it best for me. Jenny's cool, check out her MY space if you are able.
I'll be a better sport next time, promise. Love to you all -S
