Both kids have been shuffled out the door after the hectic morning routine. We have exactly seven minutes to snuggle. He's all dressed for work but doesn't care. Todd doesn't "get" the whole wrinkled concept and though it often drives me nuts, I'm glad for it today.
(I said, snuggle people. Get your minds out of the gutter. Seven minutes is not enough time for business).
"Thank you for the blog post." He says.
"You're welcome." I smile.
He gives me a squeeze and kisses the top of my head.
"Did you like it?"
"It's a bit of a stretch, don't you think?"
"Why?"
"Did you hear me screaming at the kids this morning?"
"If His Holiness had our kids, he'd probably be yelling at them once in a while too."

Your blog is very interesting.
Kisses
He'd probably throw marigolds at them too, his holiness, you know the beat them with a flower thing. Oh to be enlightened.
Obviously, you haven't read the book, Eleven Minutes. I know eleven minutes doesn't equal seven minutes, but I would imagine that HT would be more than happy to show up for work 4 minutes late.
You should read this book by Paulo Cuelho.
So great you got to enjoy those minutes without the kids!!!
I hope it was a damned good snuggle. Damned good.
oooooh! that's who he is.
;-)
You're telling me 7 minutes isn't enough? Wanna bet?
Love the birthday snuggle! Love his honesty (and yours) about yelling at the kids, too. Hope it was a terrific birthday.
Enjoying catching up with your blog Michelle. You have such a talent. I thought 'the business' video was hilarious.
Also liked your post about getting Seth to do his vision therapy. Sounds like our house, once again!
