This afternoon, we went to the book store, and lingered. I'm always rush, rush, rushing but today we got to look at every single thing for as long as we wanted and it felt really good not to hurry him up.
Overhead, Frank Sinatra sang "Chicago."

"Seth, do you like this music?"
He cocked his head to the side, making an assessment and then said,
"Yeah. It's catchy."
I LOVE when my kids say a word Todd and I don't typically use. It cracks me up and reminds me that their worlds are expanding.
I never say "catchy."
Though now I will.

I love when kids are drawn to the "classics" in life. My daughter watched a few minutes of "The Ten Commandments" when she was three and then drove me crazy for weeks asking to watch it. She sat through the whole thing and then asked to watch it over and over for weeks!
I love how your love for HT shines through your words and your life.
So cute!
Terrifically cute.
Sure as heck beats the day my four-year-old son, sitting is his car seat bellowed, "stupid bastard" when another driver ran a red light and nearly hit us.
Nope, I never say words like that. Never.
So now he needs a little Sinatra hat and a microphone and he'll be set for Halloween.
He's right - it is 'catchy' stuff. Unfortunately for the people at my house, so is Avril Lavigne's new CD in which she teaches my daughters several new insults they have become quite enamored of....
That little boy is too cute!
LOL! How funny and cute!!
:)
So cute! Hopefully "nifty " will be next.
Seth! Love that boy!! Wish he was a few years older!
