Hot Toddy says, "I thought you didn't like Justin Timberlake?"
It's true. I have long felt he was a no-talent Disney prop. That his entourage put on the whole razzle dazzle to cover up a lack of substance. Once, on Saturday Night Live, he performed at a keyboard, with a huge ensemble. He was playing the same few chords over and over, pretending to be Stevie Wonder...but not.
I shook my head in amazement.
Then Amber, sweet Amber....posted a link to Dick in a Box.
I'd been in a funk and it was the first thing to make me laugh in days. In it, Justin Timberlake is doing a parody of himself. All the hip-hop gestures. Dance steps. The whole formula. Hysterical.
To me it was his acknowledgement of how silly "what he does" is.
So when HT said, "I thought you didn't like Justin Timberlake."
My reply was, "I do now."
And, it has nothing to do with what I want for Christmas.

Apparantly I'm the only one on the planet that had not seen it. Probably my previous Timberlake aversion kept it from me.

I thought it was hysterical, too. Laughed my head off when I saw it on Amber's site. I had recently had a dream about a hot dog, so it was even more funny!
This is great! I had not seen it. I echo your opinion of Timberlake...wondered how he ever got anywhere...even a highly touted HBO special which really sucked.

This has been one of my favorite things in the world since the night it debuted on SNL. I wanted to be this w/ TT for Halloween but thought it might not be quite appropriate given the company we now keep.
And....even though I know it takes a village to make his music, I am a fan of Justin Timberlake. He is almost this funny in every SNL skit he's in.
I never liked Justin Timberlake, either, but I enjoyed Dick in a Box! Thanks for the laugh.
