My pediatrician told me that my kid could not come back to his office, and he could not go to school, etc. I wish I had been as educated then as now, but water under the bridge now.

As a single hippie mom, I was bullied by social services when my boys were 7 and 5 to immunize. If I didn't, they'd see to it they were taken from me. I cannot believe these people. Thank GOD, my children are well. So scary. It was the mid eighties, a big Thimerasol time right? I believe waiting well beyond infancy helped them to be unaffected.
I feel so sorry for any mum or dad who gets bullied or patronised by doctors. As a nurse I soon discovered that doctors are not God after seeing all the cock ups they made (and tried to weezle out of).
It makes me even more thankful for the good relationship I have with my own specialist.
