Over at the new house, I painted Riley's room "Pretty in Pink."
Afterward, I sat on the floor, looking around. "She's gonna love it!" I thought to myself.
My mom never got a chance to have this feeling. The feeling of making a "Pretty in Pink" room for her child.
Though I'm sure,
she would have
loved to.

Lovely. I hope Riley feels your live every time she walks into that room. I remember decorating Mia's room as an infant. Such joy to create an atmosphere of happiness for your child. You've brought much pink to me too. Not the pepto bismol kind either.
K
I felt that way last year, when we moved into our remodeled house. Miss M has soothing lavender and Rox has, of course, "Marshmallow Bunny Pink".
I just painted my office the same color.
Everybody needs some pink.
And yes, isn't it wonderful to give your children the things your parents couldn't?
And I'm not talking material items, either.
But you know that.
LOVE
Your mother would have loved to give you a pink room, I'm sure. But despite not having the opportunity to paint a room for you, it's clear that she gave you plenty of pink.
I know this because you have a lot of pink, dear friend. And you share it with so many. Part of that is simply your nature, but part of it surely must come from the pink your mother shared with you.
Riley has the great good fortune to share the pink with you every day. How great that she now has pink walls, too.
EnJOY
I love pink and black.
I also love brown and green.
And a pink bedspread instead of a sleeping bag, and pink curtains instead of sheets on the windows, and a pink rug and a pink canope. for you and your sister and blue fot your brothers because the sky is the limit and, and, and.........
I love you.
Mom
Everything we do affects 7 generations back and 7 forward.
I know this feeling. I had it when we set up Georgia's big0girl princess bed... *happy sigh*
And it makes me happy for you and Riley.
