Did you know......?

If your child has a bad reaction to a vaccine, or God forbid dies, your doctor (even if they coerced or bullied you into the shots) and the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture the chock-full-o-crap vaccines are protected and cannot be touched in a court of law?

Your only recourse is to file a claim with the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

And even if your kid dies, the most you can get is $250,000.

Now, I don't know about your kids, but mine are worth way more than $250,000.

Many of you know the government recently admitted that vaccines contributed to one child's autism. That child's family is holding a press conference today in Atlanta @ 11:30AM.

They will also be interviewed on Larry King tonight.

Here is the impressive background of the child's parents, as read on Age of Autism.

"Dr. Poling graduated from Boston University with a masters and undergraduate degree in biology and a GPA of 3.90. He received his M.D. and Ph.D from Georgetown University and did his neurology internship at Johns Hopkins University, Department of Neurology."

The child's mother Terry, is an attorney and oh, BTW, also, a nurse.

Yep, they sound like crazy, irrational, backwoods anti-vaccine, braless hippy dim wits, don't they? I mean, to question vaccines? They gotta be "out there," right?

Ahem.

Their daughter's name is Hannah.

She's nine.

She's a real person.

The U.S. government admits her autism was brought on by vaccines she recieved as an infant.

She matters.

What a brave little soul she is.

Can't keep back the tide.

Love.

Yup - this closely mirrors my Mia. And when you watch AP and USA Today and Sanjay Gupta say, "Autism Like Symptoms" as a way to deflect the blame (It wasn't AUTISM, it was only Autism Like Symptoms) then you have to ask how many of our kids have been grossly MISDIAGNOSED by docs who refused to do any actual biological testing on our kids, but instead relied on a check off the box psych quiz......

OMG.

I hope that doors will be broken down, nay, that parents will CHARGE in and demand "remediation" of the courts.

Gorgeous picture of you two. You're a babe. And Riley, well, all I can see is Miss M in her. Sweet.

Iportion, you just insulted a lot of parents of children with Sensory Processing Disorder, (if that is what you are referring to?) SPD is a neurological condition, and while playing with your kids may help them, it does not make it go away.

SPD is a part of autism, and it is NOT caused by parental neglect.

The government protects vaccines
because it is OWNED by the pharmeceutical companies, period. They have so much power and influence in Washington it is sick.

I suggest you read David Kirby's book Evidence of Harm.

Read Rolling Stone's article on the Simpsonwood meeting (google it).

Read Dan Olmstead's work on Age of Autism (on my blogroll).

I have no doubt you mean well, but I'm afraid you, like the majority of parents, have been misinformed.

Tune in to Larry King. Should be interesting.

Thanks for sharing this. I am always enlightened and blessed when I come here. I will watch Larry King tonight.

I teared up looking at the picture of you and Riley. Beautiful, you two ARE!

"If it wasn't autism could it have been SPD. A lot of people think it doesn't exist but it's mostly an anxiety disorder that goes away if you play with your kids."

Where do I begin? SPD does exist, and it is not "mostly an anxiety disorder" and NOTHING that is a true disorder, just "goes away if you play with your kids." AND, Autism is NOT SPD! And it does not just GO AWAY. What you're suggesting here conjures up the BARBARIC and FORMALLY DISMISSED idea of "Refrigerator Moms." Is that what you are suggesting? That Autism is a result from not PLAYING enough with your kids?

The 250,000 compensation for the death of a child is more than a slap in the face. Where is the outrage...where is THIS story on Good Morning America, et. al.??

The fact that the CDC left it up to the doctor's discretion to keep injecting children with the same lot of vaccine that killed THREE children in the same doctor's office - deplorable.

Then to call all of the deaths SIDS!

I will be tuning in tonight. I pray the tide is turning, but the good ole boy system, the "old world" won't go down without a fight. GGGGRRRRRR......

My sentiments exactly on GUPTA.

Sorry I didn't mean it the way you thoght. I would never

Sorry I thought she had SPD
SPD can be a sept condition all in it's self. Believe in that demon frige mom theory.

But treatment is intense sensory play. Children who have SPD need more play than children without the disorder . It's not a lack of interaction and that's not what I meant to say but it runs in families with a history anxiety disorders as well as sensory motter disordors.
I am sure my father had spd as a child.
From what an OT told me
If doesn't go away by 18 with the therapy than it's not spd but something like autism, apraxia or another disorder.
Autistic children need more than other children.

Another baby step forward. Progress may be slow, but baby steps work if you amass enough of them.

Looking forward to Larry King tonight.

God bless us, everyone.

And my favorite is that they keep pointing out that if not for the vaccines something else might have tipped her into autism. I just listened to a story on CNN where they droned on and one about it being the mitochondrial disorder to blame. After all, vaccines were just "in the wrong place at the wrong time".

I am itching to rewatch the press conference. I seem to remember the father stating that mitochondrial issues are passed on from mother to child and that Hannah's mom has the exact same mitochondrial issue--yet no autism.

Hmm...

My head is getting dizzy from the spin.

SPD is part of the spectrum.

Iportion, I think you mean well. You have a good heart.

Michelle O'Neil said...

Oh, and one more thing:

Even if the vaccine court does award parents monitarily, the money comes from a "75-cents-per-vaccine tax" paid for by you and me.

Big Pharma pays nothing.

My beloved nephew Quinn died at 6 weeks from SIDS. He had not had any of his 2 month old vaccines as of yet. I think it is horrible to relate these vaccine deaths to SIDS as the research funding for SIDS and autism should remain 2 separate entities. It is so easy to label something SIDS because upon autopsy if nothing indicative of a homicide is found the dead infant is diagnosed with SIDS. No further testing is done unless the infant is requested to be part of a study. A very "vague" label at best.
Thanks,
Mary Beth

Mary Beth,

I am so sorry about the loss of your precious nephew.

I can't imagine the pain your family has endured.

God bless.

Michelle, people ask me all of the time what the ingredients were in the vaccines we received as kids, or that my sisters received in the 1940s. How do we find out?

I am so sorry to hear about your nephew

I found more missing words in my follow up letter.
I meant that the fridge mom theory is demonic. This is why it can take me years to edit one book.

Michelle O'Neil said...

Kathi,

Try Dr. Tenpenny's office. google osteomed2 for her. She has tons of info on vaccines and might be able to answer your questions.

Iportion, don't worry about it. It's okay. I know where your heart is. God bless.

Putting a $250,000 price tag on a child makes all of this even more disgusting. Thank you Michele for never giving up; for never being silenced. It is people like you who WILL turn the tide on this!

Kim, I hear you , I hear you! And I know you closed comments for the "Out" post...But I'm a rebel. You don't have to post this.

I just want to tell you that I don't have to deal with all you do, I don't know all the other brave parents and children you do, but I care DEEPLY about this issue. I can see how you feel, because I don't do half the yelling you do about this, but I still feel SO FRUSTRATED at the apathy I DO see when I do try and talk to my friends, or other moms about this! I can only imagine how worn out it makes you, sweetheart...

But I'm going to give you some tough love. We need your voice, sister. We need it until it gives out, and then we need you to learn Sign. Get it? Because your voice, adds to the others, and PEOPLE ARE HEARING. I see it. You do see it, even if it is too fucking slow.

I surround you with Light right now. Take your time, nurture your spirit. Because God has plans for you.

oxoxoxoxo :)

No matter how infuriating big Pharma and the US govt. are, don't give up, just take a break if you need it. You educate and communicate and have created a place for parents of kids on the spectrum to find some validation and peace. Not many people could do what you are doing, believe it or not.
250,000? WTF! Familiy members-spouses-of soldiers killed in Iraq get 10,000. Either amount of money, as if!!!

Michelle,
This is an excerpt about some comments Sen. McCain made about how he feels autism and vaccines are linked and more must be done to investigate this. I think this is a wonderful thing. I found it on the "Age of Autism" blog. This is the first time I have ever seen a Presidential Candidate address this subject. Even though I was not excited by him this makes me feel great!!!
Mary Beth

DAVID: Sen. McCain said, after being asked a question Texas by a woman referring to the
big court case, which was just conceded, in which the government said that a girl's vaccine
injury led to and resulted in an ultimate diagnosis of autism. She asked him about it and
he, to just about everyone's surprise, said he believed there was strong evidence to
implicate the vaccine ingredient called thimerosal, in the rise in the numbers of cases. He
said the rise of cases is indisputable, meaning it's not just better diagnosis, we have more
autism in America today then we had 10 or 15 years ago. He's trying to figure out what is
going on. He recognizes there is a national emergency. It may not be the mercury in the
vaccines, it may not be the vaccines at all, but, until we get to the bottom of this it's
refreshing, to say the least, to hear a politician out their talking about what a lot of other
people are talking about. At some point, if you want to get into some of the studies that
are coming out, McCain, who's been blasted in the last 24 hours, taking more "incoming"
that I've received in 5 years in just 24 hours. He is referring to actual studies that have
been published by very top flight scientists, and, he has a very good medical and science
staff. He would not have made this statement flippantly, and, it didn't come out of
nowhere.

Do you think vaccines should be investigated as a possible cause of autism?

I believe that the next president must restore confidence and open communication with the American people. This includes environmental policies and government funded research. An Obama administration will go where the science and the facts lead us, whether it is about climate change or toxic heavy metals in our environment.

That was Sen. Obama's answer when asked if vaccines cause autism. Kind of vague compared to Sen. McCain's answer don't you think? This was also taken off the "Age of Autism" website. Sen Clinton's answer was similar. I don't mean to be a pain but they don't call McCain a maverick for nothing!!!
That is all I will bother you with, thanks for reading!!!
Mary Beth

P.S. David Kirby was the person who commended Sen. McCain for his answer to the vaccine question.
