HBO aired this film last night and has generously put it up on their website for all to view. Todd and I just watched it. I want to say something profound, but the words traveling from my brain cannot reach my fingertips. They are stuck in my throat and my heart.
If you watch this, (and you don't have a child with autism), you will see why we love our kids so much.
If you have a child on the spectrum, well...you already know.
Love.

Watched it. Loved it. Recorded it to watch again with my kids (one of whom has two autistic kids in her class and doesn't even know it, or at least it hasn't been talked about at all).
I laughed and cried and rocked back and forth trying to contain my emotions. Wow.
I've got HBO on Demand - I've made a note to look for this and watch it this weekend.
thanks for the heads up.
i tell you, i think i'm going to see this movie a zillion times. i saw it last summer. i watched it yesterday. i'm going to watch it again tonight. i LOVE THOSE KIDS!!! fluffy is a mixture of henry and wyatt and of course, his own wonderfully unique nuances.
it's so moving. as soon as it starts, the crying begins. the best kind.

i'm just learning this html stuff, so if the whole link doesn't show up here either, i'm sorry! cleveland.com had a little blurb about three movies showing different aspects of Autism, including Autism: The Musical. just wanted to pass it along, in case you hadn't come across it yet :)
Thanks Marjie!
Don't get me started.
We are the lucky ones. You're right.
I can't stop thinking about Lexi.
