I swear, the FDA hates kids. Don't fall for it people. Five vaccines in one shot is NOT a good thing.

FDA approves combination vaccine that may protect children from five ailments, reduce shots.The UPI (6/24) reports that the "Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has licensed a vaccine against five childhood ailments in a single dose." Sanofi Pasteur's Pentacel (DTaP vaccine) vaccine, the "first five-in-one pediatric combination vaccine," is "approved for use in infants and children six weeks through four years of age." The vaccine provides protection "against invasive disease due to Haemophilus influenza type b, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and poliomyelitis."
Presently, "children in the United States receive up to 23 injections by the time they're 18 months old, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention," noted HealthDay (6/23) in its Health Highlights section. But the "use of Pentacel could reduce that number of shots by as many as seven, said Wayne Pisano, president and chief executive officer of Sanofi Pasteur."

We are a nurse/pharmacist couple. We used to blindly trust, but no more. We no longer believe the FDA cares at all about our child. And believe me, it won't care about your child either if they suffer an adverse reaction to the "wonderful" new combo vax.

Isn't that a hoot! They're crowing that they are lowering the number of shots. They're lowering the number of needles by adding another 2 vaccines (HIB and polio) to the DTaP. It's the same work for the human body - just fewer actual JABS. How's that for hocus pocus? The average Mom will breathe a sigh of relief, "Oh fewer shots!" She won't realize that's a complete sham. Shame.

I lost a very special "faux nephew" who slipped into a coma after a seizure less than 5 days after his first set of vaccines. The lawsuit is pending. He was 3 months old. I don't tell people what choices they should make for their children but PLEASE do your homework.
It's public hoodwinking. I can't describe the feeling that being betrayed by my own government does to me.

I am very sorry for your loss too.
I can't seem to come to any other conclusion anymore but that the FDA is trying to hurt our children. I'm not big on conspiracy theories but really, with all of the solid evidence of vaccine injury,(that they routinely quash) what other conclusion can I draw. Heartbreaking.

Carnal Zen, I'm also very sorry. Death in the name of herd immunity. It's so wrong. Wake up parents. You have a choice. You're not the bad guy for asking questions and saying, "I'll take a pass for now." to your doc. If he bullies you? Leave the practice. He is behind the times. You know everything there is to know about your baby's food, formula, playpen, carseat - and yet, you're not allowed to question their vaccines without being called an hysterical mother. It ain't right.

Let us not forget that the federal government has put a cap on the value of that child's life too.
That family won't have a day in a real courtroom. The doctor and the pharmeceutical companies are completely off the hook.
All they can do is go through vaccine court. The most they can get is $200 thousand.
