Elect Who You Want

I am soooooo not going to get into politics here on this blog. Not gonna. I am however going to talk about one of my favorite topics, Law of Attraction.

When we push against something, anything, we make it bigger.

When we are "anti" we draw more energy toward the very thing we don't want.

So whatever candidate you support, you should SUPPORT fully. Be PRO your candidate, and don't worry about the other one. Because if you do, if you put your attention on who you don't want, you might as well just cast your vote in their direction.

Instead of focusing attention on what we don't want, we might better ask ourselves, what do we want for our country and why?

Awesome! Well said. I was feeling myself being drawn into a debate on another site and decided to just leave it alone all together. I don't have the energy or the fight.. I know who I want to vote for and why and in the meantime, I don't want to get into political blah blah blah...

Nicely said. Who could possibly disagree, given how artfully you've put this?

YES! Exactly. Hit the nail on the head, once again.

BTW, I just noticed your new profile pic. Could you be any cuter? :)

Hi Michelle,
What you have said is so true. In the book about The Law Of Attraction, The Secret Byrne, talks about when you put the thought and intention out there that there is not a distinction between negative words such as not, never, etc. She says if you say I am not going to get sick or I am not going to eat the whole thing, it is sent out as I am going to get sick, etc. So yes be pro whatever it is instead of anti anything. Thanks, great to keep in mind the closer it gets to election time.

*grumble grumble grumble*

Why do you have to be all spiritual and smart and shit? ;)

If I could figure out who my guy is, that would help. Maybe I should just be thinking about WHAT I want for us, not WHO I want for us...It might become more clear. To be honest, my head and my gut tell me two different things. *sigh*

:)

Well said. You know, I remind myself of this frequently and am frustrated that I feel my country in such peril that I have a hard time holding to the truth that I know. Nothing is clearer evidence of this than the fact that the outrage among liberals like me against Sarah Palin is making her more important. This is a great reminder. I may borrow the thought and write something for myself on the same subject in the course of the next week.

Interesting theory. Might this explain how Bush is in office to begin with?

Read your blog today for the first time, related to a lot of it. Loved the tea debate, no mention of the importance of a tea pot or if the milk goes in first or second, these can be the source of a lot of friction or is that just a British thing?

CC are you following me again?? ;D

Guilty but in a proud way. Your comments on my cyberspace made me think. Trust me - I'm all for being for something - so if you can't be FOR a specific candidate, be for an issue, a cause a purpose. It is one of the 7 habits of happy people to be involved in something they believe in. You Michelle are always an inspiration!

Being informed does not mean dwelling on the negative. Note the negative then turn sharply in the direction of what you do want.
