On a nature walk today Riley said,
"Mommy, did you know the word listen has the same letters as the word silent?"
"Really?" I tried to calculate the letters in my head to no avail. I'd have to take her word for it.
"How did you figure that out Riley?"
"Well there's a sign on the music class door that says 'Be silent to listen' and I just saw it.
The little girl who repeatedly slapped her thighs in excitement for the next flashcard, while learning the alphabet (in two days), (at age 18 months).
She just saw it.
Of course she did.

I think Riley sees and listens more than any of us...
Love,
Suzy
I was just thinking about you Suzy!
XO
Yup. Isn't that cool? It's as plain as day to Riley. She's awesome.
Silent = listen? No accidents. Love that Riley for pointing out something I would NEVER "see!"
She is such a gem, that one!
I love that she shares her observations with you.
you know what the BEST bit is? She shared it with you!! She has awareness of self, she has escaped the Borg (as I call it - Bear most definitely is a Borg) A magic moment
Hot Damn!
That girl's amazing. And brilliant. What a gift it is, to just see.
Beautiful. I can't wait to hear what else she just sees as she grows!
So cool.
Goosebumps...
Wow! really, wow.
