In my internet wanderings I came across this interesting site. Not sure I could ever do it, given the control issues of a certain someone in this house (me). Plus, we don't home school. It is interesting though. Would you ever consider it?
OMG! They're going through my things!

what a delightful idea. (and hell no.)
Quite some time ago I saw a TV program about people house swapping for holiday purposes and some of it played right in to your (and my!) fears. They showed that one family had locked a walk-in type cupboard where they had put stuff they wanted out the way of the visitors, who promptly went through every key in the place and finally broke in to the locked area to see what they were hiding!!!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It staggered me that they would do it but on a TV show? Are they mad? Teh House of Highland Madness is open for visitors not swaps.
If I ever did swap I might be tempted to write a fake diary and leave it lying around, just to make their holiday more exciting.
I have a guest house on my property, so I could let them stay in there, but no- I could not have people making themselves at home in my pjs and my bed or bath tub for that matter. I am just not that unattached i guess.
Literally - just last week I was given this link:

I think I'm gonna do it - real soon!
Time for a shake-up.
I'll just let Law of Attraction hook me up with the perfect swapper.
