If You Give a Girl a Foot Rub...

She just might feel cared for and connected.

"There will be lotion," he said, right eyebrow raised.

I was skeptical. I won the foot rub two months ago in a bet. He had yet to deliver.

Now if you give a girl a foot rub, it has to come from a pure place. No one, and I mean no one wants a foot rub with expectations.

So as I was saying, if you give a girl a foot rub, (with lotion) from a pure place with no expectations, she might feel cared for and connected.

She might think about it the whole next day, and smile about how you took your time. How you lit some candles and of course, used lotion.

By the next night, all the expectations you didn't have, while delivering your lotiony foot rub,

might just pay off.

You know, if giving a girl a foot rub is something you're inclined to do.

I'll take a foot rub any day of the week -also a back rub too -better yet, how about a full body massage!!!

On another topic though -the service dog -I wanted to tell you what happened to a young boy in our area who just received his service dog last week. Went to school the next day with the dog and the school refused him access WITH the dog! Said that he didn't need the dog there! Hmmmm. Why was the boy recommended for a service dog and now the school, in their infinite wisdom says it isn't needed for him? Here's hoping you and Riley don't run up against any barrier like that when your dog arrives.
BTW -the mother of this child is ready to pull out all the stops in terms of legal action against the school, etc., and my daughter and I are waiting to see how this all shakes out.

Jeni,

Sorry that happened, but it seems a bit crazy to just show up with the dog without getting approval from the school district first?

We will work with the school, and hopefully it will go well and they will see the benefit, but it's not going to be a show down.

I am confident it will all work out.

: )

Now back to that foot rub!

I like this much better than the "If you give a mouse a cookie" scenario!

Yes Carrie,

I've given a pig one too many pancakes lately. Thanks for noticing.

Hi Michelle - I read your blog daily but this is the first time I have commented. I want to share my foot rub story. My aunt and I have the same hair stylist who has been doing our hair (and that of other family members) for so long that she is not only a close friend but more like one of the family. When we found out that she had breast cancer, my aunt called and made an appointment with her for a pedicure. (Me - horrified: You are making a person with cancer give you a pedicure??) My aunt showed up for the pedicure, made our friend sit in the chair and rubbed HER feet with the Aveda peppermint foot lotion!

Thank you for sharing your stories, Michelle. You are very inspiring.

Bwahahaha!

Hubby would love to read this. He gives me lots of foot massages though. Sometimes with expectations and sometimes without. It's more often when it's without that he gets a little, um, surprise. ;)
