-An 11 year old in my neighborhood is a vacuum savant, and fixed my broken Hoover for $12.50. I was thinking I'd have to buy a new one.
-Bed Bath & Beyond took back the curtain rods I bought that didn't fit, even though I didn't have the packaging for one of them, crediting our account $40.00.
-A check in the mail for $160.00 today from my sister-in-law who was selling coffee to help with Riley's dog. We will put it toward hotel expenses when we go to 4 Paws for training in October. Thank you Sharon!!!
-Two tops I found at Target, quite similar to the ones I saw at Anthropologie, on sale for $10.00 each.
-It's cold out and our house is warm.
-A library within walking distance that will get anything for me I request.
-Awesome public schools with dedicated teachers and staff.
-A husband with a secure job and the opportunity to pick up overtime whenever he wants.
-A nice, big, never ending stack of books, always at the ready.
-Lots of amazing and wonderful blogs to read, all free!
-Free lodging at Jess's house this weekend!
-Unlimited long distance calling.
-Unlimited love.
If you're so inclined, share some of your abundance with me in the comments. I'm giddy with anticipation.

good old friends, buds on the fruit trees, owning the house outright, a fluffy cat always up for petting, 2 amazing children, a larder full of my home made garlic pickles, photos and stories of my great grandparents, a wonderful mother in law who always says yes to babysitting.
Michelle,
Now that Seth and Reilly are in school full time have you thought about going back to work? Nursing is such a great career for part time work, just wondering if you miss it. I know that my salary from my per diem work has helped pay for the extra services we have pursued for Kevin. Something like that could help a lot towards Riley's service dog. I work Friday nights so I can sleep on Saturdays for a few hours because Todd has the kids. It is hard but worth it.
Sorry I should have signed my name to above post,
Mary Beth
I bought a huge jar of green olives. HUGE! Billions and billions of green olives. I sigh with joy.
Actually, it's a normal sized jar. But still. I'm trying to think of abundance, that's all I've got. My netflix came in to day. Does that count?
Umm, well, the snow has gone, my kids are in school after a long weekend break, Bear just turned ten and LOVED her waders even tho' she couldn't kick her boots off in the sea (yes, paddling in the sea in February, hence waders!) Scrumpy is in a "Big Hug" phase and I am the lucky favourite target, the chucks are laying, my in-laws are coming for a week - mum, brother, sister + partner + little one - and the extension will be finished enough for them to stay comfortably.
Best of all? I have enough washing powder to mount a serious attack on the laundry mountain without going shopping first!
2 children that ask for lovin', 1 child that asks for nothing, friends that make me laugh, date night, a job that lets me work from home and blogs that lift my spirits... yours included!
aw. this made me awfully happy on a rainy, dark morning.
abundance indeed.
Homemade Valentine's from the kids on my bathroom mirror.
Another bright sunny day.
Almost for sure finding a room mate to BlogHer so that I don't have to arrive alone for my first time.
Sore muscles which indicate I actually was able to talk myself into a workout yesterday.
Curtain lady coming over to discuss new curtains to satisfy my inner house junky.
Getting to blog it all out for free, and sometimes getting paid to do it!
Did making the list help?
YOU are on my list, Michelle!
My little boy dancing and mimicking the bear on his DVD, shyly closing the door so I won't see.
His little hugs and kisses.
The practically brand new car my father gave me. Yes, really!
Chocolate dipped strawberries left over from Valentines Day.
hot coffee
squirrels on the deck bringing me hours of entertainment
finally having enough brain power to take a class and learn something
medical people who listen
enough to pay my bills...if even only for now
faith that it will all be okay
(hmm...guess this is not an up day for me)
a random day off of work while my kids are home from school
a 2 mile walk with darby, freezing in the new england february, laughing, playing games of our own invention
her trying to convince me that 'ham sandwich costume' is a passable answer for 'an article of clothing beginning with h'
my most successful phone conversation EVER with kendall yesterday. EVER! including the following:
me: kenz, what do you want to do when mama comes home from work?
her: cuddle with you
nope, not making it up. i swear. matt was a witness!
food, water, wine, a warm fire, a house that is a home
and best of all ..
friends coming off the screen and into my life in merely 3 days. if that ain't abundance, i don't know what is.
other than green olives. damnit, i knew i was missing something.
(screams across the house)
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT, can we get some green olives please?
Watching my boys work themselves through their second bowl of (rice) pasta, (homemade) ketchup and (homemade) meatballs...
Starting a new project that will provide me with paying work until June of this year...
Reading this post and the comments and feeling a (albeit tired) smile bloom on my face...
This upcoming weekend...
A friend offering to do research FOR ME on programs to help teach executive functioning skills/study skills to kids that suffer from a combo of ADHD, language based LDs and Non Verbal Learning Disorder...
Gratitude.
Thanks for the reminder.
living in America.
The intoxicating sound of my little boy's laughter as he rolls on the floor with a giant golden retriever and a few old tennis balls.
The sound of the garage door opening while waiting for my husband to get home.
The thump-bump-pumping of Charlie's tail on the wood floor as I scratch his chin.
Good health.
Calorie free chocolate chip cookies ... (oops, got a little caught up in the dream here.)
Thanks for making me think about all these great things!
Thank you.
getting home safely from MN, having precious time with my daughter, being greeted warmly by my little doggie when I got home.
